This workshop provides a wonderful opportunity to make a very special pot for a succulent or cactus. It is suitable for both beginners and more experienced potters.
This workshop is led by Lara, who is also a professional textile designer and printer. As well as making your pot, you will also decorate it using paper resist, wax resist or sgraffito (carving a pattern) using coloured slips. Lara’s expertise in surface decoration comes to the fore, as you will be guided step-by step through these processes.
Your unique and very special plant pot will be ready to collect, after two firings and glazing, a few weeks later.
This Saturday half-day workshop is open to adults only, and is a great activity to share with a friend. The cost includes teaching, materials, glazing, firing and refreshments.
“Geoff and I attended our first class this morning with Lara and we both had a thoroughly enjoyable time! She’s a lovely person and a great teacher – at once instructive, encouraging and full of good suggestions.”
This workshop provide a great opportunity for a “Taster Session” if you are contemplating joining a class. There is nothing like a full hands-on experience, working within a group of like-minded people, and getting a good feel for the facilities, energy and atmosphere of the studio.
