Pottery Workshops

Saturdays 9.30am – 12:00 noon OR 1:30 – 4pm:  (Dates below)

These hand building workshops provide a wonderful opportunity for all ages to come together and have lots of fun, and to enjoy creating and working with clay and colour.

During each half day workshop everyone will be able to make one item following a project set by the teacher. The project is different each time, and could include for example animals, vases, houses, etc.

These will be ready to collect, after two firings and glazing, a few weeks later.

Saturday half-day hand building workshops are open to adults, teenagers and younger children (7-12 years) if accompanied, and both mornings (9.30 – 12 noon) and afternoons (1.30 – 4 pm) are available to choose from.

These pottery workshops provide a great opportunity for a “Taster Session” if you are contemplating joining a class. There is nothing like a full hands-on experience, working within a group of like-minded people, and getting a good feel for the facilities, energy and atmosphere of the studio.

Pottery workshops cost £60 per adult and £40 for 7 to 18 year olds, which includes teaching, materials, glazing, firing and refreshments. These workshops are led by Helen Ashton.

“Great course, great time, lovely people. Teaching was clear concise and very friendly. I’ve been a few times now to The Clay Studio and loved every minute. I’ll be coming back for more.” Tracy

“I booked a taster session for my sister and I and we had such a fantastic morning, nice small group and plenty of help from the tutors, we thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you.” Sara
