Weekly classes
The Clay Studio offers a wider range of hand-building and throwing pottery classes for all abilities.
We follow Autumn, Spring and Summer terms, each having a half-term break and are alligned with local school terms.
Whether you’re a novice or an experienced potter, you’re warmly invited to join our classes, where two teachers will provide guidance. We’ll cover a range of techniques, including hand-building, throwing, decoration, and glazing. Additionally, we’ll provide a supportive atmosphere and exciting demonstrations to inspire and encourage new potters, while also allowing experienced ones to enhance their skills and build upon their existing knowledge.
Please note that we have 9 wheels and up to 16 students/class with 2 teachers, so you should be prepared to do a mix of throwing and handbuilding so that everyone in the class gets a fair chance on the wheel.

The summer term runs from w/c 15th April to w/c 15th July with a break for Half Term w/c 27th May. We charge £510 for a 13-week course of 3-hour classes. There is a small additional fee payable per item for clay and firing costs.
