A chance for those with basic handbuilding skills to improve their technique and make more sophisticated pieces.
Please join us at The Clay Studio for a 5-week Intermediate handbuilding course. You should have experience of the basics, such as pinching, coiling and slab-building, along with some surface decoration and texture techniques.
Over these five sessions you will create your own work using the pinching, coiling and slab-building methods. In addition, your course tutor Lara Gorlach, will demonstrate a range of decoration and surface texture techniques to try out.
The Intermediate Handbuilding Course is open to all adults (18+) and runs on consecutive Sundays for 3 hours each session.
Course cost includes instruction and refreshments. In addition any finished pieces you make which will be weighed and charged a small fee per 100g to cover the cost of materials and firing.
