Customised Pottery Experiences
The Clay Studio provides customised pottery experiences for children/adult parties and events for businesses and organisations.
Children’s Parties
Parties for children at The Clay Studio are creative, imaginative and most importantly fun! For children aged 7+, these workshops are run by experienced potters who are all DBS checked and have worked with children for many years.
Children make and decorate their very own hand built pot or piece of sculpture, for example, from elephants through to Easter baskets! The children learn how to work with clay and decorate using varied techniques. Children are encouraged to use their imagination and own ideas whilst having lots of fun.
All work is glazed and ready for collection in approximately 3 weeks.
Pricing
- For a group up to 10 there is a fixed charge of £500
- For each additional child there is an additional £45 charge
- We normally have a maximum capacity of 12 children
- But more can be accommodated if we add a second teacher at an additional cost. Please choose “Enquire Now” below to discuss.

- A 2.5 hour session
- All materials
- Tuition
- 2 firings and a glazing
- The pieces the children make to keep
- Juice and a snack – e.g. crisps or biscuits – up to you.
- Balloons
We’re also happy for you to bring in a birthday cake to enjoy at the end of the event.
Adult’s Parties
For Hen, Stag, Birthdays, Anniversaries and Celebrations, parties at The Clay Studio are a wonderful alternative that are suitable for all ages from 18 to 98! All workshops are run by experienced potters giving you a relaxed creative event and time to have fun together!
Based near to Tunbridge Wells and Ashdown Forest we are located close to a vast variety of pubs, restaurants and other venues for you to be able to continue your celebration.
All work is glazed and ready for collection in approximately 3 weeks and in addition to your individual pieces hopefully you can come together to also make a team creation for the happy couple or “birthday boy/girl” to keep as a momento!

- For each additional adult there is an additional £60 charge
- We normally have a maximum capacity of 12 adults

Events for Businesses & Organisations
These provide excellent team-building opportunities full of creativity and fun. Lunches and refreshments can be included as you wish. We can tune the duration to suit your requirements. We are happy to explain all the possibilities and design an event suited exactly to your requirements.
