In this workshop you will work with Decals to create a unique plate. These decals allow you to design using crisp lines and bright flat colour.

Decals are sheets of gummed paper impregnated with coloured glaze, they can be cut using scissors to produce simple bold designs Alternately you can also use pre-printed decals of shells, birds, butterflies and more to help you create a design.

Once the decals are cut and ready to apply you’ll be shown how to attach them onto an existing fired and glazed white plate and two 10cm square tiles. You will have three hours to design, cut and create your own plate and tile designs.

These half-day workshops are open to adults only (16+) and are a fun activity to share with friends or as an individual. The cost includes instruction, refreshments, materials and the items you make. The three finished pieces will be fired and glazed, ready for pickup in approximately three weeks.

There is nothing like a full hands-on experience, working within a group of like-minded people, and getting a good feel for the facilities, energy and friendly atmosphere of our beautiful airy studio.
