Welcome to discovering the experimental freedom of exploring design and surface decoration on clay!

You will make your own ceramic tile and bowl/platter using paper resist and stencils. Lara will demonstrate and show you how a wide variation of decorative techniques can be applied, which you can then use on your pieces in this hands-on experiential workshop.

This half-day workshop is open to adults (16+) is open to all abilities including beginners, and is a fun activity to share with friends or as an individual. 

Finished pieces will be fired and glazed, ready for pickup in approximately two weeks.

These pottery workshops provide a great opportunity for a “Taster Session” if you are contemplating joining a class. There is nothing like a full hands-on experience, working within a group of like-minded people, and getting a good feel for the facilities, energy and atmosphere of the studio.

Refreshments and the items you have made to take home are included.

This workshop is led by Lara Gorlach. Alongside her interest in ceramics, Lara is a professionally trained textile designer and screen printer, and runs her own screen printing business.
