A Word of Caution

Wheel Throwing & Implanted Medical Devices

Wheel-throwing classes use electrically powered pottery wheels, which produce very low levels of electromagnetic fields (EMFs). These are generally considered safe for everyday use, including for most people with modern pacemakers and other implanted medical devices.

However, if you have a pacemaker, defibrillator, or other implanted medical device, we recommend that you:

  • Check with your medical professional or device manufacturer before booking a wheel-throwing class, and
  • Let us know in advance so we can discuss any practical adjustments if needed.

By booking, participants confirm that they are medically fit to take part in wheel-throwing activities. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us before booking: info@theclay.studio
