Please join Lara for a 5-week handbuilding course suitable for both beginners and those with more experience.
Learning alongside other newcomers to ceramics, you will explore a range of handbuilding techniques.

If you are looking to dive into the joy of handbuilding, then this course is for you. It’s an ideal opportunity to get to know clay better. Perhaps you have been to one of our taster workshops and are keen to take the next step.
For those who already have some handbuilding experience, it’s a chance to deepen and widen your skills and explore more possibilities.
Over these five sessions you will learn to create your own work using the pinching, coiling and slab-building methods. In addition, your course tutor Lara Gorlach, will demonstrate a range of decoration and surface texture techniques to try out.

This Course is open to all adults (18+) and runs on consecutive Sundays for 3 hours each session.
Cost includes instruction and refreshments. In addition any finished pieces you make which will be weighed and charged a small fee per 100g to cover the cost of materials and firing.
Payment can be made in full, or a deposit can be made to secure a place.
