Workshop: Throwing Jugs with Handles

Beyond centering: shaping up

In this three-hour workshop, learn the basics of throwing a cylinder at the wheel then turn it into a jug, complete with handle.

Suitable for: Beginners, or anyone who has completed one of our Throwing Taster workshops and wants to further improve their skills.

From the basics of centering, opening up and the first pull, Cellan will demonstrate and guide you with tips and tricks to make a successful cylinder which you will then learn how to belly-out, add a pouring lip and finally, attach a handle.
