Throwing for Improvers to Intermediate
Please join us for a five week throwing course for those who wish to further improve their skills on the wheel.
Stretch beyond the basics and deepen your throwing skills on this five session course.
Suitable for: This course is ideal for anyone who is confident centering and throwing a cylinder and who wishes to broaden their skills and improve. Particularly suitable as a follow-up for anyone who has attended our Throwing for Improvers course with Rosie.
This course is led by Rosie, and runs on consecutive Fridays for 3 hours each session.
Candlesticks, cake plate with handle and a Salt & Pepper set
On this course, learn how to make the above items, each one utilising different throwing skills. We will be concentrating on technique, repitition and refinement.
The cost includes instruction, five glazed pieces to keep, plus refreshments. We will recycle any other pots you have made. If you would like to keep more than the initial five, these will be weighed and charged for per 100g to cover the cost of clay, glaze, and firings.
Should you wish, this course leads nicely onto weekly classes at The Clay Studio.
The course is for adults (18+).
Please note as this is a structured course that builds on the previous week, absences cannot be made up. Therefore plan to attend all sessions.
