Join us for a fun and relaxing afternoon carving clay on Saturday 6th December, 2.00-5.00pm.
Helen Ashton @helen.ceramics will guide you through this ancient, meditative technique to carve a vessel from a prepped block of clay.
Whittle and slice away using a traditional Japanese method to release your own unique little bottle. They are wonderfully characterful forms and each will be completely unique.
It’s a great workshop to do with a partner or friend. The bottles look wonderful in small groups or stand alone displaying a single stem flower or grass.
Suitable for all abilities, from those who have never worked with clay to experienced makers. It’s a real treat.
