A closer look at one of the fabulous constructions A closer look at one of the fabulous constructions made on our Building Buildings course, led by Tim Fluck. This beautiful Pagoda was made by Lizzie who is also a regular at our Wednesday morning classes. From the design on paper, through building elements, to the copper oxide finish, this piece was meticulously thought-out and realised.
The copper piping struts will age to match the verdigris tones for an aged effect and it will be surrounded by plants as a garden feature. We’d love an update on it Lizzie, in situ!

Join us for a fun and relaxing afternoon carving clay on Saturday 6th December, 2.00-5.00pm.
Helen Ashton will guide you through this ancient, meditative technique to carve a vessel from a prepped block of clay.
Whittle and slice away using a traditional Japanese method to release your own unique little bottle. They are wonderfully characterful forms and each will be completely unique.
It’s a great workshop to do with a partner or friend. The bottles look wonderful in small groups or stand alone displaying a single stem flower or grass.
Suitable for all abilities, from those who have never worked with clay to experienced makers. It’s a real treat.
