Weekly classes
The Clay Studio offers a wider range of hand-building and throwing pottery classes for all abilities.
We follow Autumn, Spring and Summer terms, each having a half-term break and are alligned with local school terms.
Whether you’re a novice or an experienced potter, you’re warmly invited to join our classes, where two tutors will provide guidance in every class. We’ll cover a range of techniques, including hand-building, throwing, decoration, and glazing.
Additionally, we provide a supportive atmosphere and exciting projects and demonstrations to inspire and encourage new potters, while also allowing those with more experience to enhance their skills and build upon their existing knowledge.
We have 9 wheels and up to 16 students/class, so you should be prepared to do a mix of throwing and handbuilding so that everyone in the class gets a fair chance on the wheel.

Classes run for 3 hours Mondays to Thursdays 9 am-12 noon, 1-4 pm and 7-10 pm, and also 9 am-12 noon on a Friday.
